Review :

Words cannot begin to describe the beauty in this movie. Slumdog Millionaire isn’t an everyday movie; limit yourself to one viewing per year and you may avoid chronic depression. This was a masterpiece of director Danny Boyle. From the music to the cast, every aspect of this movie deserves merit all thanks to Boyle. The acting is a great surprise because most actors are very young and have never acted before, but in this film the inexperience doesn’t show.

Boyle’s direction in this film is truly a marvelous. This movie displays in an archetypal format: the journey, the path, and that children have to go to in India. He turned street life into a genuine film that people of all ages will enjoy. Slumdog Millionaire starts off like a comedic drama but as the film progresses there is much more to witness such as: love, friendship, and even envy. This movie will have you laughing, crying, and allow you to just cherish Boyle’s magic as the director.

The movie is actually based on Love; something that a lot may not realize. Love is the main reason that Jamal (The Main Character) does everything he does and how he does it. This movie shows that there is nothing you can do to prevent these things(in the film) from actually happening. Despite all the obstacles, Jamal had to go through, it didn’t stop him. Boyle intended to do in this film with one major question: Destiny or Fate?

This movie has the perfect combination of: love, romance, and envy. It has been a while since there has been so much emotion and moral to a movie such as Slumdog Millionaire. So flawless that the only downside you can actually put on it is that it had to end. When you’re watching it you simple just do not want it to end, but of course it had an ending. If you’re still wondering if you should go Slumdog Millionaire, I highly recommend it! It is worth both the movie ticket and the DVD purchase.

Review :

The direction of the film along with the acting was simply world class. It’s an emotional roller-coaster. Yes it is slow, yes it gets a little boring, but while you watch the movie you’re always taking in the story line and this movie does make up for the last 30 minutes when the puzzle is put together and the full plot is revealed.

I think this movie is actually better than The Pursuit of Happiness which you should know was also a great emotional film. Will Smith, Rosario Dawson, Woody Harrelson, Michael Ealy and Barry Pepper all deserve awards with there 10 out of 10 performances. This movie, for me, is a must see. I am still taking in the film because it really blew me away.

If this movie doesn’t touch every sentimental nerve in your body reaching the core of your soul, you are not human. This movie will touch your heart in places you never knew existed. Each of us has seen movies that reach deep within and cause a light tear to seep out of the corner of our eyes that we quickly wipe it away and hope no one saw. You will indeed be seen crying on this one; you will need a box of tissues. I do not know how or what the self critics are seeing, but I don’t think it’s the same movie I just finished watching. Yes it’s a little slow, but it’s real.

This is a human in tune with what he wants and doesn’t let anything stop him from completing what he started. It’s a Shakespeare tragedy in today’s society. A movie you should definitely see. This is a very sad movie but it holds a great message to the world. Definitely buying it!

Review :

Paul Blart: Mall Cop was a good movie. I want to start off my saying that the movie for this trailer had really made me turn my back to this movie. But once again I ended up seeing it and completely I completely regret the fact that I didn’t want to see it before. Not to mention Kevin James is a great actor with any role he plays, and he definitely played this one up to par.

This movie really did feel like a slapstick comedy but it turned out to be more family suggested. I’d say it is definitely a great movie for kids ages 6-13! But this movie didn’t give much room for the adults to enjoy a more mature humor. I did like the beginning introduction to the movie and the entire story line; it was just some scenes I believe would’ve been better off left out of the theatrical version of the film.

Some scenes get really extensive and just flat out, isn’t funny. For example: [SPOILER ALERT] Paul’s excessive drinking scene gets really long and his dancing around on the tables wasn’t that funny. Also the statement “I don’t drink,” was overused and was not funny nor a lead to something funny.

I wish I wouldn’t have paid for the price of the movie ticket, and I don’t suggest it either. Unless you are taking children primarily to see this movie then I wouldn’t bother paying price. The movie, once again, isn’t my in my selection for purchasing the DVD unless I had a few children. A rental is definitely going to happen because I may rethink my decision, but for now I will ponder the thought of seeing this movie twice.

Review :

I must say the Pink Panther 2 really amazed me! As someone who hasn’t seen the first Pink Panther or even the Pink Panther cartoon, I really liked this movie! Steve Martin (aka Jacques Clouseau) did an amazing job with this character and worked the comedy to the core!

One of the reasons why I loved this movie was because it was family oriented but it gave everyone their laughs. It had a lot of goofy things for the children while providing the older age groups with some flaring jokes. Ultimately, it’s a movie for everyone!

The writers did a great job to include many other main characters in this move. They did this because with multiple main characters, Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin) could play comedy off of each of them individually. There was a new joke for each character after Clouseau met them. This really made a lot of laughing opportunities in the movie.
The trailer for this movie does a great job in showing the audience the story of this movie and putting a good amount of the comedy into the trailer. They did conserve a lot of the comedy for the whole movie as well, so if you’re thinking “They probably ruined it with the trailer,” you can think again! Although the trailer did deter me from seeing the movie sooner, a very excited spouse pulled me into seeing this movie with her.

This movie is definitely worth the price of the movie ticket, absolutely worth the DVD to be added to your collection, and if not the purchase then a rental price will give you a few hours of laughs.
